Sarcosine 是 I 型甘氨酸轉(zhuǎn)運(yùn)蛋白 (GlyT1) 的競爭性抑制劑和 N-甲基-D-天冬氨酸受體 (NMDAR) 共激動(dòng)劑，通過增加甘氨酸的濃度增強(qiáng) NMDA 受體的功能，可用于精神分裂癥的研究。
